Beach Hut Fairy Cakes

How cute! These are really simple fairy cakes in disguise. The fab bun cases remind me of seaside beach hut holidays and are so girlie. They were actually really tasty as well. For all those stuck for flavours you really can't go wrong with really nice vanilla sponge, vanilla buttercream and lashings of strawberry jam.

Brook Wedding Cake

close up of quilted effect round the tiers

finished product on split level stand

A big cake deserves a big blog hence the number of pictures. This was a 3 tier all white cake. One layer classic fruit (laced with brandy) and two tiers vanilla sponge and buttercream. I loved the really simple quilting finished off with white ribbon round each tier. The cake was topped with fresh flowers and shown in situe at the venue next to the brides bouquet. Really liked the split level stand as well. Nice change to traditional stacked cake. Pictures at top of blog show close up of each tier as you can't really see effect from the pics I got on the night. Was the camera phone not the alcohol I promise.

Accessorise!

Made a cake? Think it looks a little bit boring? Well get Munro Bakery to jazz it up like we did with this simple posy of roses added to the corner of a plain white iced cake. Voila. Its all in the finishing touches. PS and photos that don't star my kitchen tiles, bonus.

We don't just do cake!

Harping back to summer. Pistachio Meringue piled high with cream and summer fruit compote. Topped with red berries and jewel like green pistachios. Wimbledon anyone?

Happy 90th Jennie

A 90th birthday cake for a special lady. I love the colours on this one, really feminine. Classic victoria sponge with yummy vanilla bean buttercream and jam. Lilac writing with pink and purple flowers depicting the number 90. Finished off with pale pink ribbon. Eaten (and hopefully loved) by all ages

Business Cards

After an age I finally got myself sorted and got some business cards. Anyone want one just ask. Find them in a wallet near you or threaded with ribbon round a cake box. Big thanks to hubby for the design and logo x
